new variation of the old RPGhard classic

50% chance for each spawn, but they are now twice there, once the shooters, once the RPGs from Rocketman. Testing showed insane total kill counts, which is hard to explain with a 50/50 chance of spawn. Those guys were almost always there. 130 to get to zulu twice, and I skipped a lot of firefights. We'll see how it plays on the actual server. It should not be that active.

16 years and 4 months later, a new version is released :D

bug fixes mostly, and some serious demotions from Special Forces to Guerilla in most areas of the map. Some adjustments, added a Cornholio, cut some trees, deleted some snipers and pesky shooters, as well as the noisy Stryker. Should be winnable. Test round using the "shortcut" got me 117 kills and didn't feel much easier. Moving some of the triggers closer makes that side about as hard as the other, since they now shoot from both sides after you get out of the building shortcut.

changed the randomizer. Much less predictable. Fixed the Panhards - there are also Panhards in the west now. Changed it from 1-4-6 to 1-3-6 adaptive, but reduced the primary span change a few percent. Still a lot more active when with 3 players, about the same as before with 4 if you add in the panhards, but don't underestimate the changed randomizer. I saw guys in my test round that I have never seen before - the primary spawns were always the same, now there are three different ones. Some guys from the original minutemen are always there and always the same, just as before.

Smackdowns fixed. Some slight terrain changes, a few more added guys in slow areas, all RPGs at the start removed, a few vehicles moved around.

Testing showed:

easy level, with one smackdown 86 kills

medium level with three smackdowns and extra easter eggs 255 kills, second run 271 kills. On an better luck round, that should be more like 180 to 200 kills

Now 1-3-6 random and primary spawns are not yes no, but A-B-C or no

Same overall as before but more random and because of 1-3-5 seriously more action. On easy, 57 kills to zulu, and it felt like I lucked out on a few spawns (they all are 60%)

another update - 1-19-2024

fixes low spawns and changes a few percentages, since the map overall just isn't busy enough. Nothing like an "unhinged" map, but it should be more than 30 kills on average on easy. Not a lot by our standards.

another update 1-17

moved spawn closer to the action
added AI graph to the lower part of the map - bad guys now move around!
Also added a 3-way easy-medium-hard version of each player count level. So percentages are

easy 60
medium 75
hard  90

 for each of the 2nd through last trigger. First is medium for all levels. Same as many other maps - look for the helicopters flying over and count them. 1=easy, 3=hard

testing was disappointing. 21 kills on easy single player, 39 on easy at 3 player level. I usually find the numbers are higher on the real server so I am leaving it where it's at now.

15 years later, Joey gets a refresh

1-3-6 adaptive, 12-way random 3-way flex  instead of 4 way, no special forces, but 24 different relatively likely smackdowns. Testing was 85 on medium, 56 on easy, but this can vary a lot with a randomizer in the 60 to 75 percent pick range.

there's also a Cornholio at the end now.
