Computer is pooched
« on: October 10, 2019, 02:30:18 PM »
Can't access my D: drive that has everything on it.

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation

I've been able to get to it a couple of time it it doesn't last. Larger issue than I can figure out.
I have gotten a lot of files off it am having issues installing on another drive because it can't find D:\program\etc...

Updates when I can.
I do what I can.

If a man, standing in the forest says something, and his wife isn't there to correct him, is he still wrong??

Yup. The system isn't seeing the second, D: drive where everything is installed. It won't let me install to another drive because it know's it needs to find D:
I need to get a new machine anyway so.....

Man, hope you can sort this out without a complete reinstall

It isn't looking promising. On occasion the drive does appear and stays for a while. I have copied some stuff to a different drive but other things won't copy. I need administrator access, which I am....

No. I've just had no time to take it in or get a new one.
Now that I'm retired I should have lots of time. I'm hoping this week all will be sorted out.
Thanks.
