Even if the card was "flopping" a few months ago, wouldn't it be nice if you could buy ANY freaking graphics card right now without paying ebay scalpers a 100-150% markup?

So here I am, delaying my next PC upgrade for another year or two, because it is pointless when I have to keep using my GTX 1050 TI in it.

i heard that

building my son his first pc for his 12th birthday, in august

only thing is the graphics card............nothing in stock.......and marked up really high if in stock

i'm at a loss with this situation

Wow amazing how time flies Mike, my youngest is 11 also.....Though I will be 50 this year, sheesh! ha

Glad to hear you're all doing well.
I used to be a night owl....but my shift runs late every day and my drive is 50 miles home......so by the time I get home I just eat and crash pretty much....maybe a game of phasmophobia.

You know you and the family are always welcome if you ever come out this way, our place is actually in a small town that sits in a valley at the end of the Appalachian mountains, so there are small mountains to the east, west, and north of us.

We are very close to the Alabama border.

I can hunt and fish and target shoot right here in the property...lol

ha ha you know it brother, time waits for no one

thanks for the offer, you never know:)

little ones sprout in no time, it's crazy man lol

this summer we are avoiding flights again

gonna hit up west Colorado and Northeast Utah

do some hiking and all that outdoor stuff, nothing better

it's not to bad a drive, and "edible stuff" is legal around those parts ha ha

trying to age gracefully and take it all in stride

one love guys:)

future proof?

512 min on ssd, 1 TB better, you can upgrade that later, after market is dirt cheap compared to a few years back

graphics card........nvidia 2080 min, would serve you well for sometime to come, no need for ti version

I7 is a need, skip the I5's, 9700 should be good for the next 4 to 6 years..........cpu power isn't jumping up in scale like it used to thankfully

monitor? i purposefully bought a 1080 with high refresh because it feels better in games, if it wasn't for that i would have went for a 4k:)

i got a great deal on a alienware 25, 240hz.......it's buttery smooth

i built this pc back in 2014

I7 4790k
16 gigs of gskill
decent gigabyte motherboard
ht omega halo soundcard that i have had since launch......very awesome

i updated to a 1080 graphics card when they launched......and also upgraded to a samsung 850 pro ssd when they launched

it runs everything maxed out fine........but i'm running 1080

my point is to spend they extra upfront for your main parts......along the way you can upgrade your graphics card to jump any hurdles

like i said, the rewards of top notch every year is not what it used to be

Not too bad, myself... Didn't do much in the way of festivities... having a couple brews; watching some youtube mostly. Just enjoying my day off before working again tomorrow. Oof

Rick helped me find a good copy of GRAW in private manners - though, not long after I had some IRL b.s. come up, and never got a chance to play again; granted I didn't play much GR/GRAW with you guys anyway.. could be fun in the future. Though, as of late I'm not too much into the FPS scene... a few cool games I enjoyed, like Destiny 2, and Borderlands were a couple exceptions.

zebra..........whatcha playing?

Mostly EVE Online, and a couple indi/arcade type games with the S/O .. I'm pretty boring this time of year. Heh heh

i have played some Hunter Showdown, let me tell you, it could be alot of fun with a GR state of mind

I saw some gameplay for The Hunt, but never played myself.. I did really enjoy a bit of Dead by Daylight.. haven't played much but from my experience it offers some real good adrenaline rushes. :P

cool beans

i love my indie games:) have way to many i need to finish

i play some bfv for my fps fix

problem i see mostly is hackers non stop these days, that drives me away from fps's

my saltier younger years would have picked it apart, but both seem just fine for what you do brother

you will be very happy with either

ssd will have a major "holy shite" wow factor if you don't already have one

ram passed 16 is a wash

enjoy:)

..............i did indulge in buying a 240hz monitor...........next to a ssd..........it was the second best purchase:)
