The saga continues on launch day

Here's one that seems to actually exist and can be ordered. The 40 bucks shipping seems excessive, so I'm gonna pass

$1049.00 at canadacomputers.com
They don't have any in stock. Of course.
Still far too expensive for me and my needs.

saw some closed ebay auctions of $50,000 and dozens around $1500. Those top dollar ones are likely trolls trying to mess with scalpers (don't pay, has to be relisted), but the number of actual closed auctions over retail price is rather stunning. People must have too much money. my 1050 ti is just fine :)

This aged as well as milk.
Card is essentially flopping right now lol. Over hyped, over analyzed, etc...
Doesn't take away from the new series being better than anything out right now.. but it wasn't as good as it was chalked up to be.
Here's to hoping Team Red's big Navi series will actually bring a full steak to the table, not a pork chop.

Even if the card was "flopping" a few months ago, wouldn't it be nice if you could buy ANY freaking graphics card right now without paying ebay scalpers a 100-150% markup?
So here I am, delaying my next PC upgrade for another year or two, because it is pointless when I have to keep using my GTX 1050 TI in it.

I was going to build a new system in 2021. Thing is, a video card alone that is somewhat decent costs more than my entire budget. In 2022, the same thing is true. Video cards will most likely cost 3-5x more than they used to for years to come, because the makers of these cards have decided that it is a good thing to earn themselves stupid without even trying to create better products. Prices are slightly down from 6 months ago, but unless crypto totally crashes, I doubt we'll see "list price" cards return to "in stock" status in 2022
Right now you won't find anything in stock at retailers. Most of the available product goes through scalpers via ebay.
